101 back to the basics

California just released a new data and projections website that has the tech nerds happy. Here's what it says about San Francisco.
I'm not sure why it has our death count doubling in the next thirty days, when it hasn't in the past month, but that's maybe because I'm an artiste, not a public health official.

Well, maybe the official news reporter who wrote this analysis thought the same thing.

Meanwhile, in Southern California.

And more about the whole story of current SF wrapped up in one realtor-beige former bar. (Home of The Barbary Coast Revue season one, thank you forever for that opportunity!)

For the love of dog

She says in her campaign t-shirt.
And after that little bit of divinely inspired bullshit, I might as well throw in one for #SingularityNow to even the score.

"Tear down the monuments!" Guessing the story is about redlining, and redevelopment. I just took it for the headline and visual. Because in Singularity World, everything is about man's relationship with machines. Our most visible coronavirus response has been to change our driving habits.

In the theory of #SingularityNow, humans are being pulled out of our cars by a greater intelligence, machines, and have been given a new toy to keep us happy, our phones.

We tap and slide, and learn all kinds of new things, like about how the US highway system was designed to wall off poor neighborhoods from wealthy people. And our world views expand, even while our commutes shorten from hours to feet.

Meantime, Deb is looking for a new vehicle. And as usual, it's a bit of a thrill. They are a powerful narcotic.

It's been sinking in for a while, actually.
True. For the first three weeks of lockdown we were being told not to wear them!
Masks vs. Red Hats
Dear leader isn't the only slacker.
But the real kicker? Follow the money.
Those would be high heeled lift shoes that make it hard to walk down ramps.
We do like our TV, and apparently we'll believe pretty much anything. Oh yes, and we have the most Covid-19. Deeply sick, indeed.

File under: yikes

A police department with a billion dollar budget can't figure out how to get someone in front of a webcam within 24 hours?

File under: whoops

Uh, what I said about "posh Marin County" yesterday? I was wrong.

Turns out they actually are getting hammered in the hot tub hills. Careful, peeps!

And now for some good news.

Who hoo! No fees!

And finally, the ending we all really want.
