96: you can't get away from this shit
Sometimes you set off to get away from everything.
You prepare, and cast off.
The circumstances seem favorable and everything is going great.
And you think, you know, what if I just buzz along here a bit and see the sights.
Like these big white tents on pier 40. What could they be? Is Cirque Du Soleil coming back to town?
No, you remember, these are drive thru testing sights for Cov2.
Speaking of testing, dear leader held a superspreader event.
This logic has been evident since about mid-February. His people, by the way, are the CDC.
Meanwhile, he continues to make sure anyone getting close to him has been tested.
Like those campaign staffers.
I tuned into the livestream long enough to hear this offspring of a stable genius calling protestors "animals."
(I guess he's getting his brother ready for a domestic safari?)
The big question on everyone's mind was what the protest scene would look like. Dear leader's campaign manager, Brad Payscale, promised millions of people had tried to get tickets.
Dear leader seemed nervous.
But then he realized a curfew might have unintended consequences.
Oh, but the internet had other plans.
Just like a zoom lens, a wide angle can also emphasize your point.
Thinking today is going to be a big day for TikTok downloads. For fairness, if this was a Democrat rally, would they now be claiming Chinese interference in our elections?
(For those who don't know, TikTok is made in China.)

Makes me want to visit Germany. (And for that matter, I've wanted to see the Netherlands for a while.)
Here comes trouble.
Our governor recently made a big point, in California, we're still in the first wave.
San Francisco's public health response to Covid-19 has been among the most aggressive in the US. We were first to lockdown, when we were still experiencing the slow spread of the first strain of Cov2, on March 16th.
When NYC was hit a few days later, with the mutated, slightly less deadly but much more contagious strain of Cov2 that arrived via Europe, they still didn't lockdown.
Bam! The shit blew up. Suddenly, the US was the new epicenter of the disease.
Meanwhile, SF has been quietly locked away, wearing our masks like little bitches, and not getting sick. We've had about thirty-something new positive cases per day for months.
What happened is what happened. Missing out on wearing masks early was a big lesson. Unintended consequences like economic mayhem will ensue.
But you know what I'm hoping won't happen?
This.
Because the ride ain't over.
File under: theatre?
Dave Chappelle hosted a socially distant "concert," called 8:46 in honor of George Floyd. Guests wore branded masks. He didn't.
