CLJ 84: welcome to mask world

Wondering how long I can keep counting up and calling this "lockdown." Sure, the economy is at half mast and we just had a curfew last week, and we're still under a "shelter in place" order, but it has become fairly clear that there's not going to be an "all clear" signal and this will be over. Instead, it's going to be step by step, lingering, and require patience. None of which is particularly helped by counting.

So, I'm transitioning. To what? I don't know.

But I hope there's not too much cheeto flavoring in the mix.

Making orange acceptable again.

Read a list of thirty activities and how risky they were. Theater wasn't on the list, but bars and large concerts were up there, buffets just less so, and movie theaters were on par with getting your haircut.

Basically anything you're going to be doing indoors with (a lot of?) people is going to be corona-roulette for a while.

So, yeah, plans for Mark Twain's Barbary Coast Revue season 4 are not shelved. We're taking our time to, um, get it right. And, uh, raise money. Watch out.

Although these local comedians aren't waiting.
