CLJ92: todos los cuervas, y yo sin frenos

We start by looking at curves

Here's the US total, of weekly positive tests per hundred thousand people. Way up in March, followed by flattening the curve for April and May, and now an uptick in June. About follows the national media story.

But on the state level, hoo-boy.

Those little numbers on the left are important. This says, 'California avoided getting hit in March, but we haven't been able to stop it entirely.'

Whereas those bigger numbers on the left say, NY got hammered in March, then took this very seriously.

Same in New Orleans, but maybe things loosened up a bit in May.

Massachusetts was late to the party, but people there know how to stay home when asked.

New Jersey took a little longer to get the message.

Vermont is on it.

Georgia, not so much.

Florida took it seriously for a little while.

And, uh, yeah, speaking of taking it seriously...

Welcome to maskworld.

File under: stop

So we have ex-military people lining up to start a civil war.

They have coded lingo. Perhaps you've seen references to luau, bois, weirdly, the movie Breakin' 2, Electric Boogaloo, or this suicidal dumbf called 'killdozer.'

So this ex-soldier killed a federal building guard under cover of a BLM protest, then a week later shot another cop, and went on a car jacking spree that ended with him being subdued by a civilian.

Meanwhile in Arizona, we have a good guy with a gun, the son of a sheriff, upstanding member of the very official sounding (but not at all official) 'civil guard,' shooting into a peaceful crowd. Sounds totally logical. Something only a stable genius could have thought of.

Guys in head-to-toe camo arresting other guys in head-to-toe camo. Scary doesn't even begin to describe this scene.

Why is it important to bring up the fact that at least the guy at the top, and Tim McVeigh, are ex-military? Because they have been trained by the US government to think violence is an effective tool. And then they saw firsthand in the middle east just how full of shit our government is. And, now I'm guessing, after killing a bunch of innocent people abroad, killing more at home doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

Violence begets violence. If a gun is your only solution, a gun you will get.
But but Antifa...

"A" a letter that precedes "Anti", "Fa" a sound that's short for "Fascism."
Uh oh. Even museums are in trouble. Not good. But hey, the executive board agreed to a 5% pay cut.

Danced to more brass band covers.

Finally, we had another spontaneous backyard physical distance get together.

At top is me with the "other dog." And for equal airtime, here's one last picture.
