108 point San Pablo to Benicia
Got going yesterday at 8am, and was part of a parade of sailboats (all passing me) headed up the delta on the rising tide. Made it under the Carquinez bridge by 11ish, and stopped for water and ice cream in Benicia at noon.
Got underway again about 1pm. Was considering sailing to an island I've scouted out a couple times for the overnight, but was also interested in a few spots in Benicia.
Benicia won, and I was pulling up onto the beach at 1:45. Took a nap in the sun and was actually hot for the first time this trip. But don't worry, the wind was constant, and by dark I was well layered up.
The moon rose right over Mt. Diablo.
And I slept in till 7:15 under a s
dense marine layer.
P.S. be safe
