125 the naked truth

This is non-violent protest. This is what dear leader is calling out-of-control anarchy. And you know what? It is. She is out of his control. (I imagine usually he pays women to be naked.) And it is anarchy. (Nobody told her to get naked, it was her own free choice, and it's sorta against the rules...anarchy!)

Speaking of control, this veteran has a bit more self-control than the unmarked federal agents who broke his hands for asking them a question.
So, if control is the name of the game, why would someone want to kill or intimidate a federal judge?

Let's zoom in on one detail of that last screencrap.

Hmmm... Nothing to see here.

Of all the photos and videos I've seen of them partying together, this is the most questionable. Photoshop or frienemies?

Let's take a pause for some good news. I finally saw this fucker!

We had to drive all the hell over the East Bay hills to find a fog-free zone. (Hint, south of Lake Chabot.) And we really, really needed binoculars. But there it was, a little cone of blurry comet. How the hell y'all got such nice photos of that is beyond me.

(Ok, long exposure, tripod, I get it. Further proof that a photo isn't always the same thing as reality.)

There were streetlights where we were, but it was pretty dang hard to see with the naked eye.

And now back to the pandemic.

We'll start with the lighter side.

Have you been watching TV and movies and thinking, "spreader" "what are they doing?" "No, no, not a handshake!?!"

We have.

Hopefully you're smiling now, because the rest of the news isn't so great. Come on, turn those lips upward! It will make you feel better.

Because the virus won't.We are, unfortunately, in the early days of this infectious disease. It's only been around a few months. During that time, we've been focused on the people dying. But we really don't know what the long term effects might be.

You might be out of work for longer than you'd like. And because the tests aren't 100% accurate, you might have trouble getting a doctor's note.

I've been hearing that "asymptomatic" doesn't mean "no symptoms," it might mean "out of touch with my body."

Meaning, you don't realize something is wrong until maybe later.

Fortunately, with good rehabilitative healthcare, like they have in Europe for free, people are recovering their breath.

And it gets worse. There's no good way or place to say what I'm about to say next. This is not trying to scare anyone. I'm a little hesitant to share because I don't know all the details, and this is very personal stuff. But we are "all in this together," and it is very serious, so here's some reality.

When my step-mother-in-law was in the hospital, here's a little of what happened. Her feet were tied together so she couldn't get out of bed. There was no getting up to go to the bathroom. She was the only patient in the ICU that wasn't intubated. Every once in a while as she lay there, she would hear the whole medical team scramble to help a patient. She is traumatized and trying to forget. And she is one of the lucky ones.

My father-in-law has returned to the hospital, this time he wasn't sent home. He's not in the ICU.

The first medics that came to his house, last Thursday, were in masks and gloves and came inside. Yesterday, they were in bunny suits and didn't want to come in.

Seriously, be safe everyone.
