197 leave after the first lie
Another Wednesday walk to the farmer's market. Car traffic is up. Maybe 50-60% of the olden days, maybe more. Bicycle traffic is also up.
(I'm pretty sure a lawyer might call this "leading the witness." Nice effort, SFMTA, but what are the options for answers? Yes, I hate traffic, or, no, I hate traffic?)
Walking commuters heading downtown, however, are still staying home.
I haven't been downtown in a while, I wonder what it's like. My guess is pretty empty.
Orange means "moderate" transmission.
We don't have a lot of company.
I think that's 3.9 new cases per 100k. How does that compare to some of the less restrictive areas of the US?
South Dakota, home of the Sturgis motorcycle rally, is at about 25 new cases per 100k.
That's about 16 per 100k.
If the goal is not getting sick, nice work, SF.
Think this will be one of the questions?
Well, shit.
According to the article 1 in 6 Europeans and 1 in 3 South Asians (India) have this gene.
But on the plus side, testing shows a mozzie, flea, or heaven forbid bed bug, won't transfer the virus. Which I guess is sort of obvious at this point, because if they did, my guess is we would have heard about it by now.
File under: yes, there's an audience waiting
Some transfolk have been putting on window shows from the ground floor of a hotel.
They look pretty fun, and popular. (And of course I'm not hearing about them until they're getting kicked out. Bummer, because this is an easy walk from our apartment.)
Maybe I'll roll over there Saturday to see if they survived.
File under: hell
Who else thinks dear leader has one and only one criteria for what makes a place "hell" or a "shit hole?"
(Ok, I admit, this line at Vegan Mob is a bit frightening.)
Guy needs to get out of his limo sometime and actually see the world. It ain't so scary as all that.
Helping a friend with a song, and he added a dog bark, and it made me think of this song.
And that got the dance party going.
Because coyness is nice.

Well, I imagine it would be difficult to smash two atoms together slowly. (Although the sun might disagree.)
Yep, our phones are ruining everything.
