231 next stop, Hooverville

Last night, we turned off the election coverage when we saw it wasn't a landslide for Joe.

This was what I saw when I opened SFGate this morning. No big declaration of a winner, just a red banner saying Joe is going to fight, and a little bullet point about dear leader proclaiming victory falsely.

Usually candidates wait until the press declares a winner, but of course, reality doesn't matter much to dear leader.

Once again, he was 180 degrees from the truth.

Fox News wasn't exactly riding the Grump Train, either.

Or any other news source.

It looks like the Senate is still GOP controlled. I guess Americans feel like we have room to go before touching bottom.

At least Joe didn't roll over immediately.

And these representatives secured a second term.

Now, be prepared for five weeks of news about big city lawyers intimidating small time election officials.

Happy birthday Brook!

Allow me to explain this joke: some voters are loving getting fucked.

Because much like a trip to one of his bankrupt casinos, getting fucked is definitely on the menu. It's really the only dish he knows how to cook.

Apropos of nothing, let's take a quick tour through the landscape of all-wheel-drive ebikes.

The Ariel Rider follows the moped/mini-bike model.

The Oyama looks more like a traditional mountain bike.

As does the Super Monarch, but with more battery and less oomph.

All of those were in the $2-4k range, but the UBCO above is closer to $7k. It looks dorky enough to be awesome, though. Which would you want to ride?

There was a time before Obama when I was pretty used to losing elections. My votes are far left. Most of the CA state propositions didn't go the way I voted, either. But instead of seeing doom and gloom, I prefer to see the rays of light where we've opened up a gap to progress.

And maybe next time the DNC will figure out it's just as easy to lose with Andrew Wang as with an old "white" man.

Anyway, next stop, Hooverville.
