245 speak up for the billionaires!
The supermarket yesterday morning was pretty empty. As I did my shopping, I reflected on the changes from this spring.
There were lines then, and panic shopping, empty shelves. Yesterday, none of that.
In the spring, we had under a hundred cases when we started to shelter in place. Now, we have a hundred new cases a day.
But, we also have testing, some experience, a bit more knowledge, and perspective.
It is noteworthy how the unknown can create panic. Fear is very powerful stuff.
Meanwhile, in the stage play put on by Texas every four years...
Usually when a Senate seat opens up, the governor of the state gets to pick a replacement, so this probably won't effect the balance of power.
Sorry, Chuck. You took one for the team.
It is really weird watching anyone I know speak up for billionaires, with the exception of that one cousin who's an investment banker.
The rest of us? We're arguing over table scraps, people.
There's a reason we're called "wage slaves."
It turns out, it was easier to let us think we're free while just keeping us in debt our whole lives, so we don't really ever have any freedom. Just work. Or desperate attempts to get some.
Meanwhile, the GOP is doing their usual "drive the economy into the ground" act they do before every incoming Dem administration.
And whatever else they can get away with.
Oh no, it's not about racism at all...
Thank the lord for the ridiculous neighbor who spends way too much time gardening this staircase. Always a joy to pass through. (And not have to maintain.)
