248 like drawing on magic paper

Took a walk over to Dolores Park yesterday morning. I've walked under this statue many times, but not really paid any attention. He's the "father of Mexican independence."

That's quite a burn.

Speaking of extending your brand, lavender and patisserie go together quite well.

Of course, it's still California, why would a bakery be open at 7am on a Friday?

There are lots of places for sale and rent right now, but I have a feeling this is a special opportunity.

Up on a hill, at the end of multiple dead end streets, but with quick stair access to the Castro.

Surrounded by other modest bungalows in the process of becoming multimillion dollar homes.

Since we're doing an impromptu home tour, how sweet is this driveway garden I spotted the other morning in Duboce Triangle?

(Of course the homeowner was still claiming the curb cut for their personal parking spot, despite the fact that they didn't look to have used the driveway in years.)

I'll get around to doing headlines in a minute, but the biggest news yesterday at our house was the arrival of my very own black obelisk.

Truly a blank slate.

The aftermarket Bluetooth keyboard I found seems to work A-ok.

The trackpad experience isn't as smooth as a Mac, but it's certainly functional enough to dive into some big word docs. And despite the lack of an apple logo, I think it looks decent enough that I won't get laughed out of a meeting.

As for the drawing, I have a long way to go. The possibilities are quite endless, I'm a little lost where to begin.

And now, the rest of the world. I have a feeling my future creative output is going to be featuring a diminishing number of screencraps of the news.

Before this year, Nicaragua had only seen 4 or 5 hurricanes since they started keeping records.

Now they've had two in two weeks.

It is becoming increasingly clear that we are about to see some "draconian" shit coming up here very soon.

Have you heard there's a novel coronavirus making people sick?

I've heard a rumor that wearing masks helps.

Even symbolically. Ok, you fucking idiot, that's called "setting an example," and if you tried it the first time around, you might not have become another victim/spreader.

Unless you're trying to set another kind of example.

Like the kind of example that had the Missouri director of health quit
this week.

America, our willful idiocy problem is in the purple zone.

Seriously.

No homie, you're going to be staying home.

You're going to be printing a retraction, saying you're sorry, and clinging to the shreds of your hypocritical career.

Yeah, we're not going anywhere.

Anywhere.

On a side note, what the fuck is a "rollback reopening?" I'm pretty sure it means a "closure."

Man, we are good at dancing around the subject.

File under: two sides of a very nasty coin

And...

"I just had to kill them." Say what you will about dear leader, the man has balls. Standing up to generals is not easy. Yes, he may be Putin's puppet, but a troop drawdown is a troop drawdown.

A better world is happening.
