262 back where we started

Guys, we're in Lockdown 2.0. Everything indoors except retail is closed, restaurants are limited to take out. Adios shackitecture.

It would seem that we're getting ahead of the curve again.

For the umpteenth time, the bitch about a public health response is that if it works, it will seem like the threat was no big deal.

Can we take a moment to talk about the animal cruelty in the Mandalorian? It's as if Jon Favreau is afraid of pissing anyone off, so he made all the bad guys animals. Every episode it seems like the mandalorian is going into some cave to fight some scary creature.

There is something very Freudian about this. From his frantic phone messages in Swingers, to this new endless pounding of the same plot device, the hero entering the tunnel and defeating the beast, again and again, Favreau has not been afraid to put his fragile masculinity front and center in his art, even if unintentionally.

What do you think? Would you like to read more? Think a kid would?

That purple and red boat with no foils is Jean Le Cam, who did the rescue a couple days ago. He's done this race a few times, in 2008 his boat sank. Those two headed back to Cape Town both hit UFOs. Each time the story is the same, "I was sailing along at 20 knots, then stopped." There is a lot of garbage in our oceans, generally it's a shipping container doing the damage.

Although in the case of A!ex Thompson's rudder, it appears to be fishing gear.

So I watched some of dear leader's 45 minute despot-in-the-bunker video. And then I clicked on the comments. The number of supportive people is frightening.

Here's an example. Someone calling for martial law and a redo of the vote, with ID and paper ballots only. (Can we just get rid of the other candidate, too?) FYI, martial law is a big deal. It's when the military tells civilians what to do.

So, what crazy right wing proud boi is making this noise?

Oh. Think her grandkids are going to love telling the story of that Christmas with tanks in the streets?

Remembered to dance yesterday. It felt real good.
