275 twenty feet away from covid

Yesterday, I was about twenty feet away from covid. We were at a client of Deb's. We had just gotten there, and were starting to work, when they pulled out of their garage. Deb went to talk to the client, masked. She rolled down her window, masked, and told Deb she was on her way to get tested. Her daughter, home from college, had just tested positive. She gave us the option to bail, but because we were outside, it didn't really seem necessary. A while later, the daughter arrived home. She was parking in the driveway when I saw her, like I said, from about twenty feet away. She was in her car still. I was outside and masked. If I didn't know, I would have never known she was sick. She looked more nervous than anything else.

Here's a closer look at SF:

This is just getting started.

It's kind of incredible to me that the Egyptians had a sun god named Ra who had a spinoff named Aten (Atem, Adam, Atom) but, you know, the Christian oral tradition is real, and all of that other stuff is nonsense.

This is really here for the clouds, but the house has an interesting hi story, too. It was built for silent movie star Norma Talmadge, back before LA took over West Coast filmmaking. Douglas Fairbanks lived across the street.

Be safe, everyone. At top, a Sutro sketch done in Concepts. Wanted to try drawing in something other than Clip Studio. Need to learn how to make something in that software that doesn't feel either muddy or washed out. Have to break my approach and rethink it. The way I work in traditional media isn't working for me.
