280 the judges say bullship

Aye, she was a sweet little boat. Aye, I want one.

My buddy, oh we'll call him Captain Composer, inspired me to get my dinghy, the yellow one. It's kind of silly looking, but he had one of the same, it's a good beginner boat, and I've had some great adventures in mine.

The El Toro, on the other hand, is a Bay Area classic. Designed 70 years ago to be built out of two sheets of plywood, about 12,000 have been made, and there is an active race scene in Northern California.

I was surprised by how lightweight the boat was. On paper, the two boats are close. Same sail area, same hull weight, mine is a foot longer.

But carrying the boats, his new one seemed fifteen to twenty pounds lighter. And on the water?

Not even close. She walked away from me, easily. She was moving and maneuverable in wind that had the SV Oxalis (my boat) drifting aimlessly.

In short, I have found a new hobby for this winter: craigslist.

Next they're going to be recommending IV vitamin C. Get some sun, and if you can't, take a supplement.

I found it reassuring that none of my relatives on this weekend's Zoom call mentioned a coup or civil war.

It would seem that reality is running smack into the personal distortion zone.

Of course he's not going to change his tune. That's how "the big lie" works.

Amazing how congress can't do shit until it's time to go on vacation.

Personally, I'm psyched to see the real narrative sneaking back into pop culture.

Anybody got a good lead on a fiberglass El Toro?
