281 the longest-ish night of the year
We went out to look at lights last night. It seems like it was the popular thing to do.
It's incredible how much traffic the Tom and Jerry house brought to the top of Liberty Hill.
Approaching, I didn't want to get so close to the crowd. But once we got close enough, I found that I was sorta enthralled just to see... People.
This whole "lighting up the night" thing sure makes me think about religion, and not at all about nature, the seasons, and the sun.
And if you believe that, I have a book for you to read.
On my two walks yesterday, there were very high levels of mask-wearing.
The question is, will we be wearing them inside over the holidays? (Or really, will we not be visiting anyone.)
Especially not in Southern California.
Or Great Britain.
They think this new mutation spreads more easily among kids.
But they're hoping the vaccine will still work. I guess this is to be expected. The virus isn't mutating as fast as the seasonal flu, but given how many millions of infections there have been, I guess it's had opportunity.
Not this kind of stay home.
This was a sad story. Experienced surfer, bad break.
Anyone try one of his pies? They sound delicious.
Every time I've been to this place, it's been packed. So this has nothing to do with the popularity of bowling.
And everything to do with being shut down with no bailout.
Well, I don't have the accent, and I haven't even had the option of ordering jimmies in a few decades, but damnit, I am going to bang a U-ey at the next light, no matter what the GPS says.
Yeah, ok, I may have watched a couple YouTube videos.
