304 stoner 105

So, I figured out an issue I'm having with my tablet art experience. I'm not giving up, oh no, not by a long shot. This is awareness.

Here's the thing: the tablet allows for endless cheating. And as we've already discussed, that's great. Cheating is what artists do. Except we call it "technique."

And I've been learning technique. The problem I'm having is, the more cheating you do, the more creating a painting becomes like using Photoshop. And I can make the frigging Mona Lisa in photoshop, if you give me enough time. But it's not painting. It doesn't have the joy of expression of putting your brush into some paint and slopping it onto a surface. I might as well take a photo and trace it.

So, yeah, still learning.

Writing is a fairly opaque topic for me. Why write about what I'm writing, when you can read the writing itself?

Well, the past few nights I've found myself going through the musical while tossing and turning. It's all mostly a way to go back to sleep, like counting sheep. Envision the whole thing, front to back. Who's doing what, who's singing, who's on stage, who's taking break.

After a couple nights of that, I actually charted it out. T is for Twain, and he's actually onstage the whole time, but these are the moments he's singing and up with the rest of the cast, rather than sitting with the band.

S is for Shanghai, who has a pretty physical role and needs a couple good breaks to cool down.

A and J are the romantic leads, and hopefully have similar amounts of stage time and singing time.

See, here's the other thing. No matter what happens, who the bad guys are, the result is we lose freedom. Access, ability to move around unsuspected, privacy, they are taken away.

Terrorists? Bring in the metal detectors, start snooping our emails. Coup? Don't even need to pretend that your social media isn't being spy-bot-sniffed. We've got informers aplenty.

Until the response is, "oh gosh, we fucked up, what can we do to make good?" instead of more guns and penalties and empty talk of unity, we're not getting any closer to democracy, people. We're getting the other flavor of fascism.

Can we take a minute to talk about something kinda touchy? Rednecks love weed. And over the past few years, it's become more and more accessible. It's like all of America is getting turned on, at the same, late moment.

I've been hesitant to talk about this, because I'm a fan of weed, and I think it's great medicine. But here's something I feel has been missing from the whole coup/Q story: at least some of those people were high as fuck.

I didn't need to see the pictures of people smoking on the capitol steps to know that. I've spent the better part of three decades diligently exploring stoner thinking, and I can tell you, that Q shit is like, pothead 101. "Oooh, look, things are not what they appear."

Pothead 102-5 consists of getting a better picture of what they really are, and that is not entirely clear to anybody, but I'm pretty sure it's not "the world is run by pedophiles in the basement of a pizza joint."

(This woman, like many people in the "justice" system, was badly abused as a kid. Like how badly? Try, mom pimped me out for home repairs badly.)

My buddy the king will tell you the lizard people need blood sacrifice to retain their power. It sounds ridiculous, until dear leader goes on a federal execution spree for, why, exactly? To show how tough he is? Well damn, that kinda sounds like a blood sacrifice, doesn't it?

Basically, the thing with stoners is, the doors of perception are open. The question is what new ideas are allowed into your head. And if you just happened to do that new legal edible right before sitting down to an evening of newsmaxx, well, time to head for the capitol.

Now, here's the issue. I don't want to give weed a bad name. It's not weed that trained these guys to take battle formation.

Really, though, this weed thing is great news. Because honestly, the next step is all of us, rednecks and snowflakes alike, sitting down on that big lawn in DC and having a regular pow-wow, puff n' pass style. My guess is the people hurting on the right and the people hurting on the left have more in common than not.
