How are you doing? I ask because I'm not doing well. Are we all in the same boat?

My flirting feelings of hope and my ability to focus are adrift in a flood of... What? Anxiety? Depression? Pandemic? Loneliness? Boredom? Uncertainty?

Yesterday I gave up trying to work on creative projects, and opted instead to run some errands with Deb. But that didn't help, it just put me in a bad mood, feeling like I was giving up on myself.

My past successes may not be so great, but I will never get anywhere if I don't put in the work.

But then, what work? What am I doing?

Moment by moment, that's not always so obvious. When I got home from the dump and nursery, I found myself watching episodes of PAW Patrol and Dora The Explorer. I did this for the same reason I read a couple Hardy Boys mysteries recently: research. But there's nothing like watching vapid kids cartoons to make you feel like you had a useful day.

Then I started sketching Miley McMeteor again. I've actually made tiny bits of progress into her next outing, although I don't know exactly what it's going to look like. I'd share them here, but my technological overlords have disabled that ability for now.

Maybe I'll take a picture.

Also, all work and no play make Jack a dull boy.

This is kind of a fun idea. As investors turn toward emobility, traditional car makers are finding that their internal combustion engines are becoming a financial liability. They're driving their stock price down, and then there's the cost of getting rid of all those antiquated factories.

(Now, if we could all get on board with the vision that the coming emobility shift won't be to electric cars, but actually, something smaller and more efficient.)

Wherein, the city of Manaus, where as many as 75% of the population has already had Covid-19 and were hopeful to have achieved herd immunity, is having a second wave.

Covid-21?

It looks like the vaccine gives more protection than having caught the virus naturally, but the basic evolution of viruses is that the mutation that infects people easiest will be the one that takes off.
