394 venting
My gosh, looking at the pictures and screencraps on my phone, I have no idea what I'm thinking. It's almost like I just have to listen to myself, not my phone.
Yesterday after working I walked the dogs around the block, and realized that I wanted to rhyme "flame" with "shame" in a Barbary Coast lyric I'd just rewritten. Then I forgot, until about an hour ago, while I was lying in bed thinking. So now I've made that change.
But since we're here, and since I've maybe had enough talking about myself for the moment, let's do the news.
File under: mission drift
Remember that time we decided to enact revenge by invading a country that had very little to do with it? These pictures will remind you. Twenty years later, we lost.
File under: more mission drift
So Scott Weiner enacts a curfew in the parks, to cut down on vandalism or whatever he was afraid of, but a few years go by, and now it's just illegal to be in a park at the wrong time, and they're giving out tickets for doing nothing but being up and out late.
So indoor events are allowed again, with rules that basically make it impossible. 35% capacity of vaccinated or tested people, no food or drink. Who wants to pop out to Bottom of the Hill to show your test, go outside to drink, then come inside to watch the band?
Well, ok, maybe. But from a promoter's standpoint, ugh. Fortunately, the rules will probably change again before we can mobilize.
Meanwhile, over at Amazon.
Fuck you cars.
You know, that thing you can kill someone with, but it's fine? Because accidents happen.
Vitamin D, exercise and sunshine. Just as good today as last year.
File under: the city seems really quiet sometimes
It's going to be interesting to see Mayor Breed's reelection campaign.
File under: they're baaaack
