It's chart day. Time for some graphs!

At top is the flu in Canada the past few years. You can see 2020 had a steep drop-off, the thick black line.

Then look at 2021. That red line, at the bottom.

Yes, we all did quite a bit of illness prevention this past year.

Here's the South American version of the same chart. Their flu season is later in the year. You can see it started to take off in 2020, then got shut down completely.

The downside is nobody knows what the flu shot should be for next year.

Guess we're going to find out. It really is impressive, how we managed to control the flu, and yet, how many Covid cases there were. It's the real deal, a pandemic.

And despite our jubilation here in the US over reopening, covid-19 continues on.

The situation in India sounds bad. And Modi sounds worse.

Meanwhile, Zuck SF General had no cases yesterday for the first time since last March.

And we're, kinda, sorta, totally ready to do this. Ish.

Musical theater sounds like a go?!?

Yeah, could be.

Well, we'll see what the city says.

Meanwhile, just in time for us to start a renovation, lumber prices are going nuts.

Guess the universe is telling me it's the year of less is more. Gonna have to be smart and resource conscious through this remodel.

Or maybe use steel?

Here's why the country looks red on every map of elections.

That's what happens when you spread the population of LA out over the Midwest.

Here's just the city of Chicago compared to the southwest.

And this is New Yorkers compared Greater Idahoans.

(That's a funny joke if you've been following the news... although I would have preferred to say Jeffersonians.)

I'd show you the dogecoin chart, but my point of entry is pretty embarrassing. Right now, down almost 50%. Oops.

Ok, here it is. The red circle is when I got in. Me and Mark Cuban's kid, we're going for a wild ride.
