451 what if?

What if nothing was exactly the way we've been taught it is?

What if our history books just simply didn't have the facts right?

Why "worst?" Is ice inherently evil?

What if the story of Noah was, you know, an oral history, and a parable? Advice? About things that really happen, like climate change?

What if the earth wobbles a bit, and our orbit changes a bit, and we have a big freeze every 41,000 years, or every 100,000 years, and the north pole flops and the oceans fall and the world looks different, and homo sapiens has been dealing with this for millions of years?

What if homo sapiens sapiens are just another in a long line of homo erectus, and we're all related?

What if most of our history is undersea?

And our recent, brief expansion will be buried just like the rest of history, ground into dust by a sheet of ice two miles thick?

What if our recent unplanned attempt to restore the environment of the dinosaurs is setting the environment off into unknown territory?

What if immigration, human mobility, was part of our survival strategy as climate changes?

What if we elected officials who recognized this reality?

What if printing money made the existing money less valuable?

What if the little guy had money to spend, but the big guy had nothing to sell?

What if everything getting more expensive meant something?

What if we didn't eat so many animals?

What if we can't borrow our cake and eat it too?

What if we blame it on the little guy?

What if a tire company started making sails so it's tires had less environmental impact?

What if we did this because we cared?

What if... No... What? Chicken John is married? To Ritual Roasters?

What if I wrote a blog and nobody read it?

What if Alexa started giving away your wifi?
What if you invented a blanket to work like a tinfoil hat, but instead bike thieves used it to negate the tracking chips owners are installing on their expensive new ebikes?

What if your former president continued to be correct twice a day, just like a broken clock?

What if none of our human striving really matters, because all we're really doing is giving birth to machines?

What if?
