524 we got it
We were exposed Saturday, over dinner at a friend's house. We found out Sunday. Monday, our symptoms were paranoia. Tuesday we both kinda felt something, but a rapid test came back negative. But by Tuesday afternoon, I was in bed.
We'll take another test today. I guess I need to report it to the county somehow. Lots of positive cases aren't winding up in the statistics right now.
But they're happening. Dr. Bob Wachter is putting his mask back on.
He's relying on the tests UCSF gives to arriving patients to get a more accurate number of infections, and it's a lot.
We probably got BA.2.12.1. My head hurts, my nose is stuffed up, there's been some coughing. Sleeping isn't easy, but neither is anything else, so I'm resting as much as possible.
Deb has been feeling tired, I'm nervous the worst is still ahead for her. My symptoms at this moment don't feel as bad as yesterday afternoon, except the headache. And the nose. So maybe they're actually worse.
The person we caught it from seemed to have two worse days before starting to recover.
One thing is certain, I'm glad we're vaccinated. This could be much worse.
It's pretty trippy, finally getting it. We had no idea.
Yeah, so, send orange juice!
Ug.
Not fun.
Be safe, be healthy, spread love.
