550 Gen-Z, we salute you

Here was a different looking electric scooter, the Mahindra GenZe.

Gen-Z is getting a lot of attention these days. When did Gen-Z even get separated from Millennials? Back in the day, I thought they were the same thing.

Now, it's clear that Gen-Z came after Millennials. So I guess, Millennials are Gen-Y?

But that would imply there's a Gen-V, and there isn't. Boomers came before Gen-X. The X was a statement about our nihilism.

What does the Z mean? There's nowhere to go after Z.

Anyway, part of what makes this thing cool is the storage. It's got this tub/rack in the back, that actually extends down under the seat. (And presumably has drainage, otherwise...)

Mahindra sounds Indian, and it is, but this scooter was designed and built in the US.

It has about 1400 watts of power (close to 2hp), 30 miles of range and tops out at 30mph. It's about $3500.

I'm kind of out of touch with the law on scooters, but I think this will require a motorcycle driver's license, which doesn't seem very Gen-Z at all.

It looks like a fun little ride tho. If only I saw a need to haul myself around in a total frenzy, maybe this GenZe would do the trick. On the other hand, an ebike will do all the same stuff and more, without needing a license, and in the bike lane.

Speaking of Gen-Z, did you know it's rude to send a thumbs up?

Recently, I heard that replying "K" doesn't mean "ok", it means "fuck you." And they say texting has no subtlety.

And here I thought William Shatner was an old blowhard.

Peace out.
