562 goodbye SF
It's a lot to process, and we're not nearly finished, so in the meantime, how about some screenshits?
Oh, I'll probably go on talking about San Francisco for a bit, although I'm looking to change out my daily SF Gate habit with... Something else. Maybe. Probably.
So as soon as you see this headline, do you know what's next?
Musky has made several comments about how this iconic building on Market Street would be better as a homeless shelter.
As a "homeless" person himself, with experience sleeping on the Tesla factory floor, and in a manufactured home on the SpaceX campus, he attempted to put his (tons of) money where his (incredibly active) mouth is.
So what do you think happened next? The city came sniffing around, about a rumor that someone was running an illegal live/work space.
You can't beat city hall. Musky's brash style and crazy ego aside, and ignoring the unnecessary work/life overload, you have to admit: he went there. He sees the opportunity. Empty office space downtown? Let's make it housing.
That news about energy-positive fusion is coming soon in a Bike & Battery. In the meantime, how about some recycling screencraps?
Despite the theory that smartphones are replacing many different devices, any therefore less wasteful, perhaps it is time to examine my recent one-per-year habit.
Sounds awesome.
Sounds reasonable.
Sounds like a car addict. Time and time again, car-free spaces have proven to be an economic success.
Remember how we were promised that a quick, severe reaction to the pandemic would have us bouncing back ahead of everyone else?
It would seem that the future wants us to go in a new direction entirely. Musky sees it. Can we?
Well, that's it for my SF screencraps. For now. Perhaps I need to start collecting photos of the great white north. Here's my brother, who helped with the move.
