572 crap off my phone

Catching up with random screenshots. Let's see what Google has put into my head the past couple weeks.

Why Google? I don't know about you, but half or more of the news I consume these days is recommended to me by the chrome browser on my phone.

Skipping over the bike & battery stuff, here's what we're left with. At top, the SF Building Dept. vs. Musky.

And here's the rest of SF vs. reality. What on earth could we do with all of those vacant buildings in a city with a severe housing shortage?

Let's just keep scratching our heads.

Sooner or later, we'll come up with an answer.

Recently I tasked myself with answering the question, whether big investors or small investors have more stake in the stock market.

This led me to look into BlackRock. I thought they were private, but they're public.

They have more assets under management than the biggest mutual fund company.

Hmm, but they're also owned by the biggest mutual fund company?

Ok, so are the top 10% of investors institutions? At what point does an individual become an institution? Do you just add "organization" to your last name?

Ok, whatever, let's forget about following the money for a minute, and instead follow the virus. The Wuhan Lab Leak "theory" is catching fresh wind. (Really, I thought it had been pretty well proven, but I guess the WHO whitewashing effort continues to be effective.)

A PhD friend of mine recently said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Have you seen the news about Covid? It turns out that the disease had pretty much the same impact everywhere, regardless of the government response."

To which I responded, "So it was all authoritarian flexing."

Buy now. If you have cash.

Remember how we were supposed to have a quick recovery if we quickly did the right thing?

Key word: quickly. What if we're still running around in masks three years later? What if we still can't get a visa to visit Fisherman's Wharf?

Ok, got that crap off my phone. Thanks for stopping by!
