615 hiding the truth

Let's take a little tour through screenshits on my phone.

We start with South East Asia. As 'westerners' we're generally taught to ignore this area as being, well, the cradle of humanity where all the really important stuff has happened. No, that was in Europe!

Gun powder? Pasta? Money? Hydraulics? The stirrup? Zero? Never heard of 'em.

ChatGPT gave wildly different answers, $93k average and $92k average if you exclude the top 1000 earners.

The medium is the message. (He types into his phone.)

At this point in the shrinkflation cycle, a lot of us agree.

Car addicts designing the world around their addiction.

Seems like a fairly good idea.

Less is more.

Learning to enjoy the things I have has made a big difference in my life. And requires occasional reminders.

We'll be getting to more charts soon enough. They're all like this one.

I remember talking to a money-oriented friend about climate change years ago, and he said, "It's not going to get bad in my lifetime" and that's basically where we're at.

More charts. This one doesn't look so bad, the people who make the least pay the least.

Oh but wait, those people who make the least? We're most of the people.

Looks reasonable enough. Small to big.

Oh. So basically, 60% of us spend 25% of the money. Or, in other words, if we had 10 people and $10, 6 people would have $2.50 to share, and 4 people would have $7.50.

So what is a "brownshirt?" They were para-militaries who backed Shitler before the stormtroopers took over.

They weren't official army or police, but they acted like they were.

By my reckoning, we've been living in a police state since The Patriot Act, but apparently things are getting dialed up.

Meanwhile, not everything is idiocy, scarcity, and trying to go backwards.

The future, for instance, keeps appearing.

Oh, wait, not that future. Honestly, what do you do when the bad guys show up dressed like the good guys?  Or when the good guys work for the bad guys?

Or when "just doing my job" no longer cuts it?

What if your job is selling us all out?

The level of distraction pumping out of my phone is nuts. Every bit of bad news is dialed to 10. And then blended, and shot out of a confetti cannon.

Back in the day, there was a movie called "Faces of Death." They put it in the back of the video store, with the adult titles. I watched it once, with friends. I didn't enjoy it.

Now I see it everytime I open social media.

It would be nice to see a population graph laid over this, to show just how few people there are over there on the right.

Nice people.

But who is FDR?

That's the level we're operating at here.

It's almost time to put down your phone. Just a few more screencraps.

This is the one right here.

Geez, these charts are all kinda saying the same thing. "The rich get richer."

Maybe I should put this device down.

It's a few graphs, but it gets a point across. Old colonialists be running this show.

Somehow they've got us all fighting for scraps. And they know that we know it.

That's why. Why were getting this new hyper-police state. Because that little group of people over on the edge of all these charts, they're nervous.

They're trying to hide the truth.
